Woke up with a slightly sore head but fortunately an early start wasn’t called for as we were editing with Abdul (who is brilliant at what he does) to put together the trophy tour piece.
What would have taken me several days accompanied by a constant stream of profanities took him a matter of a few hours and it looked and sounded quite superb.
After patting ourselves on the back for a first job well done, we decided to take the afternoon off.
In my infinite wisdom I decided to go for my first run of 2015 around Carlton Gardens – man that was tough!
As a reward, I met up with an old Uni friend and we watched Australia slump to a disappointing 1-0 loss to South Korea.
That result meant that the Socceroos would not be returning to Melbourne for the remainder of the tournament and a possible semi-final against defending champions Japan…
A few more beers and the day was done, a big day of filming awaited us on Sunday.
